Evangelism Explosion

EE - Equipping us to share the good news of Jesus Christ in a loving manner

Evangelism Explosion is a program that is designed to train laypeople to share the Gospel message with people.  In EE training, trainers instruct trainees in learning a Gospel presentation that stresses faith in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and the assurance of eternal life that the Lord offers His people.  The training involves not only short lecture sessions to learn material, but also invaluable on-the-job training where the trainers and the trainees actually do visits with people to put into practice the lecture.

The interesting concept of EE is that the program's focus is on training soul winners, not just winning souls.  This means that the program is intended to train more and more people to share the Gospel with people.  EE calls this concept "spiritual multiplication."  The greater impact is in training people who can share the Gospel than just by winning souls.  This is expressed in EE's purpose statement: "To glorify God by equipping local churches worldwide to multiply through friendship, evangelism, discipleship, and healthy growth!"  With on-the-job training, soul winners are being trained while the Gospel is being presented to people.

The strength of EE is its approach.  The Gospel presentation EE provides is one in which permission is asked before sharing the Gospel, Jesus is presented as the way of salvation, and helpful illustrations give a fun and personal aspect to the sharing.  This presentation can also be used to assure believers of the eternal life that is promised them.  The presentation is not binding, but is rather the skeleton on which a personal, fluid and concise sharing of the Gospel can be based.

There is a commitment when enrolling in the EE program.  The training spans across 13 weeks, the vast majority of which include on-the-job training.  EE training is a challenging, yet exciting experience that will equip you with the tools to share the Gospel effectively for life!
