Flower Coordinator

This function is part of the Altar Guild. The Flower Coordinator manages the Flower Chart. This allows members to give flowers for specific services and can be to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or to remember a loved one. The Flower Coordinator contacts the persons wishing to donate flowers and notifies the church secretary what purpose the flowers are being donated. The Flower Coordinator collects the donation and insures that the florist’s bill is paid.

Lighten the Load

A diverse group of men of the congregation with various expertise in "handyman" categories are available to help out our members when they are unable to fix things when they go wrong or cannot afford to have the problems repaired.  Minor plumbing, electrical, various repairs, yard work, etc. are just a few things we can do. Things we can't do are major landscape projects, large scale repairs requiring a licensed contractor, or major plumbing or electrical projects.

If you have a need that you believe Lighten the Load could help with or you would like to sign up to help in this very important service, please contact Dick.

Online Media

The Light of the Hills Web Site is maintained by a small group of volunteers that gather articles from the various functions held at the church.  The articles are published on the site with added photos or graphics.  There is also ongoing maintenance of the site to ensure that the content is current and interesting to members and visitors alike.  To participate on this team, you do not have to know anything about how to run a web site.  Tools are available that make it easy to publish articles and maintain content.  If you are interested in how a web site is created and run and would like to help out, please contact us and join our small group for this rewarding service.
