Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord!

There are several ways for people to express themselves musically at Light of the Hills Lutheran Church and everyone is encouraged to participate.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is for teens to people 100 years old.  This choir meets on Thursday evenings in the Sanctuary from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.  Rehearsals begin September 6.  The Adult Choir usually sings at both worship services on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.  The Adult Choir is under the direction of Fred Weber.

Contemporary Choir

The Contemporary Choir meets one Thursday or Friday a month before the Sunday they are scheduled to sing.  This rehearsal begins at 7:00 pm.  The Contemporary Choir is presently under the direction of Alison Dumas 530-622-5264. 

Childrens Choir and Chidren's Chimes

The Children's Choir meets on Wednesday from 4:00 to 4:45 pm, beginning October 10 2007.  This is for youth ages 4 years old to 14 years old.  A Children's Chimes group for the same ages also meets on Thursdays at 4:45 pm.  These groups are presently under the direction of Kim Herren (530) 676-3629.  These groups usually sing/play one Sunday a month.

Son Light Ringers

The Son Light Ringers are a group of musicians under the direction of Marilyn Helsley 916-933-3538.  These Bell ringers meet on Thursday evenings from 5:45 to 7:00 pm and usually play one Sunday a month.
