Our worship services grow out of the Lutheran Christian tradition. What does this mean?
- We prize the Word of God, the Bible, and believe it to actually be the words of God for every generation.
- We highly value the Lord’s Supper, and believe that along with bread and wine, we do receive the body and blood of Jesus, the Messiah, for the forgiveness of our sins.
- We believe that in baptism, our sins are forgiven, we are adopted as God’s children and made new people, and the Holy Spirit comes to live in us.
Our worship services generally follow an ancient Christian liturgical pattern, where we hear God’s Word read and preached, then celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Throughout the worship service, we sing, pray, and listen. Our music is sometimes ancient, sometimes modern.
We are a Biblically conservative church with a desire to carry the hope of Jesus to the world.
