Reopening Church Information

We are delighted that we are able to begin worshipping together again as a congregation. Because of the gradual nature of reopening California and El Dorado County, there are a number of steps that we need to take together as we begin worshipping together.

First, we need to register for worship at this link: https://reopen.church/r/SlNhOWdF. This will keep the number of worshippers down to 60 per service, in order to maintain social distancing. Please register your household, letting us know how many will be attending on which date and at what service. We will be having three services on Sundays at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 am, with no in person Sunday School or Bible Classes. If you find that all of the services are full, please call the church office and we will add an additional service.

Second, we need to follow safety protocols. Here is a summary of the protocols.

• If you are feeling unwell or have a fever, please go home and rest: you may not enter the building.
• If you are part of one of the groups more vulnerable to coronavirus, consider not attending.
• Face covering is required and must cover the nose and the mouth.
• Hand sanitizer (provided) must be used when entering and exiting the building.
• Maintain six (6) feet between families.

Please read the PDF document of the protocols we have provided by clicking here. Please follow the safety protocols until you receive information about any changes that might take place.

If you do test positive for Coronavirus, please contact the church office at 530-677-9536 immediately. We want to pray for you and we also need to follow reporting protocols.

We recognize that there are some members who will not be able to attend at this time. We plan on streaming the worship service at 9:30 am using Zoom so that members at home are able to participate in the service. A Bible class will also be recorded and placed on the Light of the Hills YouTube channel for each Sunday.

We are very thankful that the Lord is allowing us to gather again for worship. May He bless the hearing of His Word and the reception of His Sacraments!
